Pokémon TCG Pocket rarity guide
Cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket have a rarity shown with ◆ (diamond) and ☆ (star) marks. Trades only work between cards of the same rarity, so knowing a card's rarity is the first step.

Counts are the number of cards listed on this site (3,575 in total). ◆1–◆3 cards in the Deluxe Packs are "mirror" versions (existing cards with a holo finish) and are counted as separate cards.
What each rarity means
◆1 – ◆4
Diamond cards. More diamonds means higher rarity. Trading ◆3 and above requires Shinedust.
☆1 and ☆2
Star cards. These can be traded; ☆3 (immersive) cannot.
Shiny
Shiny cards come in ☆1 and ☆2 versions, and both can be traded.
Check a card's rarity
On the app's Cards screen (in Japanese) you can filter by pack, rarity and type. Each pack page also lists cards by rarity. The trading rules are in How Pokémon TCG Pocket trading works.
